Joint Congress on Veterinary Acupuncture

June 8-11, 2016
The American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture (AAVA) and the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) are pleased to announce a joint Congress on Veterinary Acupuncture sponsored by both organizations.
We are pleased to invite clinicians and other individuals to submit abstracts for presentations, Wet Labs, Poster Presentations and Research Papers for our 2016 Joint Congress. Presentations selected will be presented by the Author and published in the AAVA and IVAS 2016 Proceedings. There is not a general theme, all topics are welcome. All acupuncture, acupuncture related and Traditional Chinese Medicine therapies will be considered.
Abstracts must be submitted in English, double-spaced and should not exceed a single page of 8.5” x 11” paper with 2.5 cm margins. Abstracts need to be submitted by email. When emailing your abstract please format the abstract in a Microsoft Word document and send it as an attached document identified as “Abstract AAVA and IVAS Joint 2016 Congress” in the email subject line. A Curriculum vita for each author must also accompany the abstract. Abstracts submitted without this information will not be considered.
The deadline for submission is December 1, 2015.
Notification of acceptance will be sent by December 18, 2015 to those whose abstracts are selected by the Program Committee for presentation, Wet Labs, Posters and Research at the Congress. If selected, all presentations must be in English. The deadline for submission of the full article for the Proceedings will be January 31, 2016.
PRESENTER COMPENSATION
Keynote Presenter – The selected (or invited) Keynote Presenter will receive honoraria @ US$200.00 per hour for 4 hours. Additional compensation provided is roundtrip economy airfare, hotel for 2 nights, 2 days per diem, and a complimentary registration to the entire Congress.
Speakers of General Interest – Selected speakers of general interest may also be chosen to present in 2 hour time slots. The chosen speakers of interest will receive honoraria @ US$200.00 per hour for a minimum time slot of 2 hours, and 1 day free Congress registration.
Speakers and Research – Speakers chosen to present that are selected to speak for 1 hour or less will receive 1 day of free Congress Registration on the day they speak.
Wet Lab Presenters – Selected Wet Lab presenters will be paid an honoraria of $US100.00 per hour for a minimum of 2 hours and a discount of US$200.00 off of full Congress registration.
Poster Presenters - Posters that are selected will receive a discount of US$100.00 off of Congress registration for each Poster they present.
