Location:      On the medial side of the front limb, between the 1st and 2nd metacarpal bones, approximately in the middle of the  2nd metacarpal bone on the radial side.  
 
Characteristics:  Master point for the face and mouth 
          Source (Yuan) point 
          Expels Wind Heat,  
          Used for calming and antispasmodic action,  
          Removes obstructions in the channel,  
          Stimulates the dispersing function of the Lung  
 
Indications:    Releases exterior; benefits the Lung  
          Tonifies Wei Qi, immune stimulation  
          Clears Heat; use for febrile disease  
          Ocular disorders  
          Epistaxis, nasal congestion  
          Stomach and large intestinal disorders  
          Toothache  
          Distal point for any problems along the channel, especially the forelimb and neck,  
          Local point for carpal and metacarpal problems
